1.  BENJAMIN5 WOFFORD (ABSALOM4, WILLIAM3, WILLIAM2, WILLIAM1) 
was born Abt 1745 in Rock Creek, Frederick County, Maryland, and died March 1815 
in Huntsville, Madison County, Alabama.  He married MARY LLEWELLYN Abt 
1765 in Union County, 96th District, South Carolina.

     Notes:

     South Carolina was originally divided into four Colonial Counties, one of which 
     was Berkeley County.  In 1765 South Carolina was divided into seven districts, one 
     of which was Ninety-six District out of part of Berkley County.  96 District was 
     comprised of the Union and Spartanburgh Counties.

     Children of Benjamin Wofford and Mary Llewellyn are:

                    d. Bef 1816; m. BURWELL J THOMPSON, October 19, 1785.
            ii.     PRECIOUS WOFFORD, b. Abt 1767, Union County, 96th District, 
                    South Carolina; d. Bef 1843; m. SAMUEL THOMPSON.
            iii.    WILLIAM WOFFORD, b. Abt 1769, Union County, 96th District, 
                    South Carolina; d. Aft 1850, Texas; m. FRANCES UNKNOWN.
            iv.     JOSEPH WOFFORD, b. Abt 1772, Union County, 96th District, 
                    South Carolina.
            v.      BENJAMIN WOFFORD, b. Abt 1773, Union County, 96th District, 
                    South Carolina.
            vi.     MARTHA WOFFORD, b. Abt 1775, Union County, 96th District, 
                    South Carolina; d. February 14, 1843, San Augustine County, Texas; 
                    m. (1) ANDREW BOLYN, Abt 1797; m. (2) ALLISON ABEL LEWIS, 
                    Abt 1808.
            vii.    JOHN WOFFORD, b. 1785, Union County, 96th District, South Carolina; 
                    d. 1869; m. ELIZABETH HEWLETT, November 24, 1810, Madison County, 
                    Alabama.
