Pastor's Love Letter

"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you, says the Lord."

Just as surely as that precious promise applied to the people of Israel, I believe it also applies to our church. God is truly answering our prayers in ways above and beyond what we could even know to ask or think. I am so excited about the ways He is working. We have so much to celebrate with the increased cooperation among our various ministries, the way God is adding to our church, the recognition of our need to call upon the Lord, and the generosity of our people as just a few examples.

For example, this past Sunday you gave over $11,000 in addition to our regular budget needs for the special air-conditioning offering. This is tremendous! We don't have a wealthy church by the world's standards, and yet we are "rich" in having folks like you who are willing to give. No doubt some of you truly sacrificed to give like you did. Thanks to your generosity, we now have approximately $23,000 in this fund. I know God will bless you because you gave.

You truly are special folks to be serving. Thanks for giving me the privilege to be your pastor. May Christ continue to bless your commitment to Him and His church. See you Sunday!
